We got the order for mandatory evacuation today.
Some people are saying that a number of ships have stopped over the Channel Islands.
Whatever it is they're evacuating pretty much all of the Southern
counties all the way up to the 58 and the I15. We have
to leave by 10:00 AM tomorrow.
All civillian aerial traffic is grounded so we'll
stick to our initial plan and drive. The plan is to
get to the East Coast and from there to get on one of
those boats to Europe. Waiting for
the airport to reopen was a mistake anyway. After all
this shit there's no way they're going to reopen it. I
doubt that there will be anything left to open anyway.
You might be wondering what's going to happen to this
site. Our hosting is somewhere in North Carolina which
is supposedly still a safe place. Hopefully the site will
stay up. I plan to write about the trip as soon as we
reach the East Coast so at least you'll know we made
it. It's a long journey and everyone is pretty much
freaked out.
I'll try to post some stuff sooner if we find a
working connection somewhere along the way. If not,
I'll update in a couple of days. Hopefully. Stay safe.

The shit has definitely hit the fan, and not around just here. There's been no communication with Australia for days now,
large areas of South America are burning and god nows what else is happening there.. And the shit seems to be spreading to other parts of the world.
It looks like we might need to evacuate in the near future, so we're getting ready for that. Stay safe.

The entire southern part of the state is under a voluntary
evacuation plan. Can't imagine how people manage to get out of
here since all I see on TV is packed freeways. We've packed our stuff, stocked some canned food and shit, just in case. I still hope for the best, but it doesn't look good.
I've got a couple of emails today, mostly from people in Romania and other
parts of Europe. The situation seems to be much calmer over there: they've got the
ships floating in the air alright, but less activity.
Nothing new happening around these parts, but that's disturbing enough. Communication with South America is spotty and some really disturbing news is coming from down there. Some of this shit is freaking me out, to be honest. I mean, yeah, sure, everyone's freaked out, but all the freak diseases, fires and alien sighting reports...it doesn't look good at all.

Ever since this invasion started I go to sleep wondering what tomorrow will bring. Large scale attacks and fires and explosions? Viruses and bugs that'll wipe everyone out in a matter of days? Radiation? An earthquake or some other kind of disaster?
I was talking to someone on IRC today - some still think that this is going to end well, at least for some of the world. This guy, a college prof, was saying that they've claimed their land in South America, Australia and Antarctica, and they're gonna be busy down there for a while. Yeah, right, I'm gonna sleep so much better tonight.

They had some footage today about one of the ships landing (crashing?) in Mexico. Do they show the same stuff in Europe? As usual they're taking their time - after landing nothing else happened. Then, the military closed the area off and nothing more came out of it. Stay safe.

I've removed most of the links on this page (top rigt) since they're down anyway. I don't want to add to the general confusion.
All major news networks sites are down too. Maybe it's
just the communication problems affecting some parts
of the world. Email us and let us know if you can
still access CNN, Reuters or any of the other big news
sites. Other than that just stay safe.

Just finished wathcing the clip again. I think it's a hoax. I hope it's a hoax.
Posted: Jan 17, 2004: 10:24 AM
There's this tape going around the web with a supposed sighting of an alien somewhere in Mexico.
Altnewsreport.org has it you haven't seen it already. The quality is poor and it was made with a handheld. Poor lighting too. And damn that's what's freaking me out. You don't get the nice zooms and even lighting and suspense music and all that shit they have in movies. It's just a jittery picture with something definitely not human seen through a window. A woman is screaming something in spanish. Then after about three minutes the camera moves suddenly and the clip is over. What the hell happened after that no one knows. Anyway I've watched it a couple of times but can't say if it's real or not. It's fucking scary I'll give you that but I don't know if it's real.
If it's a hoax it's in fucking bad taste I'm telling you that. We have the god damn 3 mile long rocks floating in the sky. Enough already I don't need god damn aliens walking around peeking in people's houses and doing their experiments or whatever shit they do.

What's freaking me out is not stuff that you can see
but stuff that you can't. Websites and blogs of people
around the world that used to have daily updates
suddenly stop being updated. Just like that, no
explanations, nothing. Some go offline, some are still there but not updated and that's even scarier.
There's this guy in Mexico (see the link to his page on the right of this page) who has been
tracking stuff happening down there on his blog ever
since it started. No updates since last week. A couple
of blogs from Australia - same shit. Mostly the
southern part of the globe.
What I'm doing now is tracking blogs of people from as
many parts of the world as possible. When people in
certain countries stop updating you know something's
not right over there.

Stuff is happening fast and there's widespread panic, looting, and all that shit. I guess it's the same in Europe.
I for one stopped going to work two days ago and started stocking on canned food, gas, batteries and shit. Where the hell did all the batteries go?
There's a report on a site called altnewsreports.com
on how all the scientific bases in Antarctica are
being quietly closed down and people moved out of
there. As usual the news comes from undisclosed
sources so it might be just a rumour.
Some people have emailed about internet communication
problems between various countries. As of today nettrackinfo.net has
reported three out of the thirteen backbone servers offline. Add to
that major problems with some of the comm satellites,
especially over Northern Europe and parts of Asia.
As far as I know, communication with Romania is still
OK from where I'm at. I don't know if the same stands
for every part of the US though.
What you can do is try using one of those
anonymous web surfing services which hopefully will
use an alternate route to reach the page you're
looking for. Other than that, keep emailing or instant
messaging if you want to stay in touch with people who
are far away. The phones are down for good anyway, at least in this part of the world.

Many people are driving north, which is an option
we're considering as well. There's definitely
something going on in South America and it seems to be
spreading fast.
They won't say anything on the news of course. All you
see is either the emergency broadcast signal or some
government official or other telling everyone not to
panic. Tell that to the people who've turned all the
freeways into parking lots you idiots.
Posted: Jan 13, 2004, 06:56 PM
Abductions and experiments on poeple? We've been getting abduction reports for decades, but their credibility
has suddenly risen with the 370 ships flying around.
Posted: Jan 13, 2004 01:32 PM
Maybe it's just me but groceries are definitely running
out of stuff. Just got back home after searching for
an hour for some steaks. Fresh stuff seems to be going
fast - meat, fruit, vegetables. I saw many people
stocking up, had to wait twenty minutes in line.
Posted: Jan 13, 2004 11:22 AM
Why did this happen right after New Year's? Was the whole thing timed in some way? Makes you wonder.
More weird reports coming in and frankly it's more than I need - large scale fires, ships dumping some white stuff into the ocean, smaller ships
breaking off from the large ones and going God knows where at high speeds. The panic is deinitely settin in, too. Someone emailed that Reuters has good coverage on their
site. I use CNN, but it helps to have different opinions.

There's an article on realtimenewsfeed.com about some
freak new disease that has broken out in South America. I
wish we had more information on all of the stuff
that's been happening
Posted: Jan 12, 2004, 11:27 PM
There have been reports of alien sightings as you've
probably heard by now. No one knows if they're real, as they never come from official sources.
That's what I hate when the shit hits the fan: you start having a hard time separating fact from
fiction.
Yeah we know the damn alien ships are here but other than
that there's nothing clear. Some reports say that
they're negotiating with the U.N. Some websites say
that the Air Force sent a couple of fighters to check
out one of the ships and all of them were blown into
pieces. What the hell is going on people?

Maybe it's just me, but the fabric of society is slowly disintegrating. I know it's cliche, but
lines at the counter are longer, the freeways are a parking lot day and night, waiting times on the phone are
way longer.. what else? groceries are running out of stuff, mail delieveries take way longer.. it's just the little things but add them
all up and suddenly they're big enough.
And then there's the things you don't see - fewer people on the streets and in stores.. fewer cars in residential neighborhoods... and
basically nothing much happening other than the damn alien invasion. No new movie premieres, no concerts, nothing.

One of the ships passed above the city today. They
started the air raid sirens and local stations
swithced to the emergency broadcast signal. Our area
was under voluntary evacuation but not many people left.
The ship showed up around 3:15 coming from the ocean
and going east. around 5:00 it filled the entire sky.
Now I can understand why some people said the damn
thing looks evil. All I could think about while it
passed over the city is that it's going to fall and
crush us. I felt this urge to start screaming and run as fast as possible but it passed.
At some point I thougjt I could see some sort of movement
or activity on one of the sides but by that time it had gotten pretty dark and I wasn't so sure. You can't do much with a cheap pair of binoculars anyway.
Oh yeah I almost forgot - no sound, no lights, no
smoke, no nothing>. I think that's what makes it even more horrible. The wind started blowing a bit, but it could be a coincidence. Other than that, it's exactly
how they showed it on TV. Didn't have my camera with me for pictures, but you've probably seen hundreds of them by now.
I don't know about you but after seeing this thing
up close I'm even more freaked out. When you
see it on TV or just far away, it doesn't look real. You can almost
bring yourself to believe that none of it is real.
That it's just a prank or a drill or something not
fucking real you know? If it's on TV you turn it off and it's gone. If it's far away as it was when I saw it last time, you just turn around, drive back home and it's gone.
What can you do when it fills the sky in every direction? Close your eyes and hope it goes away? I thought we were safe. Fuck that's gone now. I've seen it with my own eyes
and it's real.
Going back home was a pain, traffic was backed up for miles. Some poeple were trying to evacuate to the north, some just wanted to take a closer look at the ship, and some were just
coming from work or doing their own thing. If this is any indication, then it's good to know that traffic conditions during the end of the world will be horrible.

The plot thickens... Some of the objects are moving around,
so it looks like we're seeing a phase two here, after the calm of the past few days.
At least everyone's calling them ships now - so we've got that straightened out out.
Last night on CNN there was this guy talking about our options right now.
He was saying the ships won't attack with anything massive as we'd retaliate with nukes and make the planet
unusable. Not a very good thing if they plan to loot resources or colonize or whatever.
I for one don't think they need to fry us or drop nukes. They could just
release a virus or something that would kill everyone on the planet in a couple of days. Maybe they're researching it right now.
Or better yet the bug could just affect people's brains or eyes or something like that.

I love all the meetings, special committees, action plans and shit. Everyone's got an opinion or better yet an action plan: nuke 'em, fry 'em, bomb 'em, talk to them, send choppers, send missiles, send radio waves, draw stuff on the ground,
put lights on the ground, assemble ground forces, stop radar surveillance, evacuate cities, I wrote all of these down because the list just keeps growing.
I am pretty sure that governments and armies of some countries have tried to contact them in one way or another, but no public statements so far. Just the unofficial reports, rumours, stories and the like. As for contacts, hell just around here
some people have parked their boats beneath the ships down south and are making a lot of noise and flashing lights and shit. Nothing.
Sometimes I think that the things will turn out to be some sort of natural phenomenon that we can't yet explain. That our grandsons will see them in the exact same places and laugh at our stupidity.
Posted: Jan 10, 2004 02:51 AM
Nothing spectacular happening. Could this be the calm before the storm? An invasion? Peacful contact? Are they here to bring world peace? Unlimited supplies of popcorn?
I don't know. Anyway, I drove about 300 miles to see the neares thing/object/ship watever. Couldn't see very well since it's over the ocean, but got a pretty good look at it. I took a couple of pictures and will post them here after they're developed.
So, what can I say? you've seen the pictures a thousand times (some very good ones on BBC's site, btw). This huge rock just floating in the sky, it looked surreal. Like a goddamn dream.
Other than that, nothing. People were still driving on the highway, some seagulls were flying around, the usual stuff. Turn your head and it's not even there, it disappears.

They've got some data as you've probably heard by now - 372 objects worldwide (they're still calling them "objects"), unequal sizes ranging from under 200 ft to about 5 miles, composition - very high density, very large mass, probably metallic.
No noticeable light or sound coming from them. Most of the ships are located in the Southern hemisphere, over South America, Antarctica and Australia, with fewer numbers over North America, Africa, Asia and Europe. Sub-Saharan Africa has the least number of ships - four.
Some people emailed asking Why I am writing this when it's all over the news anyway. Good question. Maybe just to keep my mind occupied with something. Maybe just to make sure all of this is real, I don't know. E-mail us if you any new stories or links.

I'm changing the title of this thing. This is an
invasion and it sure as hell doesn't look like a human
one. All I've been doing since around 4:00 PM today is
watching TV and reading news sites. Phones are
down due to high demand. At least I don't
have to worry about everyone calling and asking if I'm
alright. Email is working but the net is kind of slow.
It's morning in Europe and most people there are just
finding out about what's been happening in the past
six hours. Is that a rude awakening or what? In Europe
ships seem to be concentrated over Ireland and parts
of the Mediterranean for some reason. There's a map on
cnn.com.
Posted: Jan 8, 2004, 09:58 PM
OK, the initial shock is sort of gone even though I
suspect it'll never go away for good. I decided to
start updating this site daily or hourly or as often
as possible just to occupy my mind with something.
OK, so let me start by asking what everyone else is
asking right now: What in God's name is going on? What
the fuck are those god damn things? Are they
meteorites? If so, why the hell are they floating
evenly at 2 miles above the ground? Are they ships? Is
this an invasion of some sort or what the fuck is it?
And how the hell did they get here so fast without no one noticing?
What the fuck were all the 500 billion dollar god damn telescopes doing?
Posted: Jan 8, 2004, 7:41 PM
Well... How do I start? OK, first turn on your TV or go to
cnn.com or some other news site or whatever. Something very weird is happening.
Weird enough to prompt an unscheduled update of this website.
I remember
September 11 in 2001, the feeling I had looking at that picture
on cnn.com: that's all they had (or all I remember seeing anyway) - just one
picture with the first plane crashed in the World Trade Center.
And I had this feeling of disbelief, I mean, that's stuff you see in movies, you know? The brain wasn't processing what it was seeing, it was almost unreal.
I got the same feeling today after turning on the TV. I had just gotten home, had an ordinary day, traffic was shitty as usual,
stopped to get a coke - you know nothing special. So just out of habit I turn on the TV and then start checking my email. The news is on like some sort of background noise, but then the woman on TV says "and it appears they're not man made" or something like that.
And on TV they have live video of the things and maps of the world and everything. Jesus Christ, it's unbelievable, I'm still trying to find rational explanations but it's not working. This is not some witty sci-fi short story with a
surprise ending or some random funny essay that you
would normally find on this site. This is reality and it's scary as hell.
They're showing those things on all channels now. To me these ships or
whatever they are look more like huge rocks or big chunks of dirt.
Go and turn on your TV or go to one of the news sites.
I'll keep posting.
