Letter from the editors
So, here we are with the fourth issue of the journal. We had to interrupt our regular mint rubbing to get some work done for this issue - it was hard, but we succeeded. Once again we have an issue we're proud of.

One interesting phenomenon was recorded in the past few weeks - the number of hits to our webpage, the number of subscribers to the journal and the number of messages received are decreasing. But we are not complaining. In fact, we might be the only webpage on the net that struggles for a decreasing number of hits, and I will explain: if people do not access the webpage, then it means that they are busy rubbing mint, so our goal is accomplished. Therefore, we urge you: if you have a choice,
do not visit this page, just rub some mint.

This doesn't mean that we will let you down - rest assured that whenever you feel you need to know the latest trends, facts and info on your favourite activity, a fresh issue of this journal will be waiting for you around the 25th of every month. Even as we put together the current issue, we are thinking about the columns in the next one.

And last but not least, here is a quick reminder that we need your help! This e-magazine is based on contributions from rubbers worldwide. Today, it's your turn to contribute: take a few minutes to send us your thoughts.

Everything Is Vanity [lesson one]

One of the most important factors to help you become a true mint rubber consists of not taking life too seriously. It will pass anyway. Unfortunately, quicker than you thought. "Everything is vanity" as King (of the rubbers) Solomon used to say looking with a critical eye to the passing beauty of one of his seven hundred wives and three hundred concubines. He had it all, but he still lacked something and was not pleased.

In my opinion, the first step to become a true mint rubber is to find certain ways to AVOID THE SYSTEM. The system, in other words, the society into which we all have been taught to 'integrate' since kindergarden has all the data to imprison the man. It apparently offers you the certainty of a job, the illusion that all kinds of advantages will flow out of it, but on the long run it turns you into a slave, into a little wheel that helps its functioning. Freedom of spirit and freedom of movement are beyond any price. This is mint rubbing all about: reflecting, freedom, and last but not least, peace of mind. If you are not able to make your backpack and hit the road in searching for yourself in more than an hour, then you have a problem. So don't forget lesson one: try not to take a job and do something to get out of the system. More secrets revealed, next time, in lesson two. (Hans K. Storp)

The Mint Rubbing Game

In order to achieve the autmatization of the mint rubbing process, a dedicated mint rubber has developed an astonishing new way of rubbing mint on-line: The Mint Rubbing Game. Click here to experience this new and wonderful on-line mint rubbing experience(tm):

Do not treat this game as you would treat any other conventional game. This is a mint rubbing game, so proceed accordingly. Happy mint rubbing. (Game provided by Cristian Draghici)
