 The robots are our friends. They work in offices and factories to give us electricity and transglobal communications; They drive the cars and trains that we use to travel, and work in the fields to produce the food we eat every day. Robots pilot the ships that take us to Mars, and work in banks to keep financial markets in balance. Robots work for us asking for nothing in return; they just want to be left alone to do their work. Yet three series of robots are now being recalled by their manufacturers who intend to discontinue production and disassemble existing units. It is a well known fact that robots have feelings just like human beings. While their intelligence is limited, they are self-aware and know the cruel fate that awaits them.
