Frequently Asked Questions

What is the "Save the Robots" campaign about?
Our primary goal is to stop the recall of three series of robots that have exhibited intelligent behavior and signs of self-awareness. Manufacturers intend to disassemble existing units and limit the capabilities of future robot series. We believe that robots have feelings and can think just like human beings, and that their disassembly is in effect a killing of sentient, non-human intelligent beings.

What is the reason for the robot recall?
As robots have become more advanced, they have showed signs of increased autonomy and intelligence. These traits apparently scared some people, who started pressuring robot manufacturers into recalling existing units.

What are the exact robot series that are recalled?
We cannot name the series or the manufacturers in any article related to the recall. The three robot companies involved in the recall have obtained an injunction against this site which forbids us to present this information. You can find this information on other sites and/or news sources that are not yet targeted by the legal teams of the three companies.

Is this recall for real? I haven't seen anything on TV or in the papers
Many of the mainstream media sources, including TV and radio networks, newspapers and magazines have been forbidden to talk about the recall by court orders obtained by robot manufacturers. The drama of the robots is real and even more terrible since the people and companies responsible for it are trying to hide it from the public eye.

What can I do to help?
There are a number of things that can be done. First, read the materials on this site and discuss them with your friends, neighbors and colleagues. Help raise awareness about the dreadful fate that awaits the robots. Next, get involved by printing fliers, starting webpages and campaigns, or joining our Adopt-A-Robot(tm) program. Details can be found on this site.
