ok, people, here's a RMRA project that we believe is of great exception (este de mare exceptie). this time the thing is quite simple: rub some mint and win a sticker just like the one pictured below: ![]() so, get to work. anything goes - write an article and/or send us some thoughts, pictures, stories, ideas for the site, mintrubbing grafitti pictures, mintrubbing appreciation websites created by you, proposed uses of the sticker, pictures of public displays of the rmra flier presented below, or any other type of mint rubbing evidence. use our official email address, wfoster42@yahoo.com. the crazier your email is, the better. do something wild for fuck's sake. after we receive all the emails and everything, we'll carefully analyze all of them, pick out the coolest, and mail out stickers to the best mint rubbers out there (don't forget to mention your name and mailing address in your email). this thing is for real, we have a lot of stickers to give, and they're pretty damn cool, really. one hundred and one uses:
don't miss on the chance to impress all your friends with the official certification of mint rubbing proficiency - the mintrubbing.org sticker. we will mail out the stickers towards the end of february and will announce the winners in one of our next updates (or possibly on the main mintrubbing.org site). stickers are mailed by regular romanian uncertified mail; we will mail internationally as well, under the same conditions. now, considering how neat this whole thing is, do i need to say more? probably not. start rubbing, the stickers are coming. that's not all, though. march is fastly approaching, and with it come those dreadful traditional celebrations on the first and eight of march, when romanians celebrate women. well, here at the association, we have solutions for all major inconveniences in life, the first of march included. you know she wants something different each year for the first of march. she wants something clever, something original, not the same shitty plastic flower every time. well, this year give it to her. after several years of research, our experts have come up with a revolutionary new design for a mint rubbing martisor (if you're asking yourself what the fuck is a martisor?, then you're probably not romanian; the brief answer is this: a martisor is a small gift, usually a crappy plastic flower with a red and white string, that's traditionally given by men to women on the first of march in romania). show your appreciation for the woman you love or admire by creating a hand-made, unique martisor that looks good and has practical applications. the materials you will need are: some rubbing-grade mint (unrubbed, preferably dry), usually found in drugstores; one piece traditional red and white string, taken from surplus martisoare from last year, stashed in a drawer to be used this year; one small rectangular piece of cardboard with a hole punched in it and one little crappy envelope, also taken from an original martisor; one small plastic bag, used for small computer parts such as chips. next, fill the little plastic bag with mint (take special care not to rub it); attach the bag to the small cardboard piece using the string, and you're done: that's your martisor. impress the woman you love on the first of march - she will surely appreciate your thoughtfulness, skill and originality, as well as the extra supply of mint for rubbing, to be used in times of need (if she doesn't appreciate the idea, just dump her). the finished product should look something like this: ![]() and there's more. find below the official rmra flier used to designate mint rubbing areas in public buildings. click on the thumbnail below to open the full-size pdf version, print out the flier and post it in offices, schools, public buildings and in the streets: ![]() countless applications can be found for this flier. your boss would surely appreciate it if they found one posted on their office door. your loved one would jump for joy at seeing one hanging on the wall in the bedroom. a rmra flier posted in your office or classroom will make a spectacular impression on clients or teachers. and by posting the flier in public areas you will contribute to the general well-being of the population, thus providing a much needed public service. together, the rmra and you, let's give mint to the people. so, what else? as you've probably noticed (or will notice pretty damn soon) this is one of the lighter updates of this site. with the holiday season and all of that crap, we had a lot of mint to rub, and not a lot of time to write updates. but we're not finished just yet. let's start with a bunch of ancient romanian wisdom principles, to guide your life for the years to come. interestingly enough we received a lot of ideas from our readers this month. one was actually used, see below: - ancient romanian wisdom: reliabilitynext, the monthly list of people who show their appreciation for the global mint rubbing movement by posting a link to mintrubbing.org on their webpages, journals and forum profiles (pages discovered by us in the past month): - http://www.e-regular.as.ro/we also found a couple of forums that linked to us: - http://www.popcorn.ro/forum/viewtopic.php?t=952Some people go far beyond posting links to our site on their webpages, and also add a few thoughtful words on the subject.
