11. movie recommendations



dedicated mint rubbers might remember our first ever experimental mint rubbing journal issue, posted on mintrubbing.org in december 2002.

ok. so what looked like random bullshit to the untrained eye were actually movie excerpts. and one of the last frames in that thing (the one labelled as the end) contained the names of these movies.

now, that was not some random movie selection; all titles were carefully selected by your friendly mintrubbing.org staff to provide maximum enjoyment and/or brain workout to our readers. yes, dear friend, that's your list of recommended movies.

i know you probably skipped over it, so here's another chance to read the movie list properly. once again, click on the above link, click through all the excerpts and stop at the the end page. if you want more information on a certain movie, your trusted friend the internet movie database is here to assist you.

since our list was posted in 2002, let us add some newer movies to it: the village, thirteen conversations about one thing, der untergang, hypercube, das boot, and fear and loathing in las vegas.

i know that enjoying a movie is largely a matter of taste, so not all of our recommendations will fit your needs. but, if you're like us, then you'll probably recognize a couple of titles in the list, come to the realization that there might be more cool shit among the ones you don't, and go on from there.

in an ending note, you probably won't see most of these movies on PRO TV. i suggest ordering them online (amazon.com) or, well, asking your friends.
