16. reading recommendations



if you're one of our regular readers (and i believe we only have cool people as regular readers) then you've probably seen the movie fight club. if you haven't, then

stop right here.

go rent it/buy it/steal it/find it

and see it. this movie is an absolutely must see.

ok. now, if you've seen it, then chances are you liked it. what you might not know is this movie is based on a book by author chuck palahniuk. what you also might not know is that said author has released a number of other books which all range from almost-as-cool-as to way-cooler than fight club.

so if you ever run out of cool reading material, then this is what you need to get. the complete list of fiction books published by chuck palahniuk is presented below in no particular order:

- fight club
- survivor
- haunted
- choke
- lullaby
- invisible monsters
- diary

if i had to pick just one, i'd definitely start with choke, and then continue with haunted. all books can be ordered online (amazon.com, etc). the good news is that fight club has been translated into romanian and published by polirom publishing house (same title as the english version). in what's definitely even better news, polirom also published choke under the romanian name of sufocare. both of these books can be found in bookstores or ordered online from the publisher's website (run a search here).
