Introduction

Here at mintrubbing.org we have always been about practical issues. While the theory of rubbing mint may seem like the main focus of our teachings, in actuality we are mostly concerned about the practical applications of said teachings. Today, the most important issue affecting nations across the world is the international financial crisis, together with its similarly ugly cousin, the looming global recession.

Economies are slowing down, unemployment is on the rise, consumers all over the world are concerned as their income is reduced, companies are restructuring in anticipation of swift bankruptcies or, at least, reduced demand and financing sources, stock markets are crashing, banks are tightening up, liquidity is dropping. Still, the worst is yet to come, as the world is preparing for the first drop in global GDP since World War II. "May you live in interesting times", the Chinese have cursed, and it is happening.

News sources all over the world, both on- and offline, are full of information on these issues, so we will not be held redundant by repeating it. Instead, we will focus on what all of these (so-called) information sources seem to lack: clean and safe advice on navigating and, eventually, surviving the financial crisis.
